The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek has two engine options, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that produces 152 horsepower or a stronger 2.5-liter, 182-horsepower options. Both engines come with a continuously variable transmission and standard symmetrical all-wheel drive. The Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 are significantly more expensive. Although their engines are slightly more powerful, all-wheel drive is not standard.
Capability
The Subaru Crosstrek is the most affordable option, and it is also the most capable and off-road-ready at the entry level. All Crosstrek models come with a higher ground clearance than the CR-V and RAV4, allowing drivers to tackle deeply rutted roads and traverse New England winters confidently. Even though the Crosstrek has the smallest profile, it has one of the highest towing capacities of up to 3,500 pounds, along with the RAV4. The Honda CR-V is the largest of the three but tops out at 1,500 pounds of towing capacity.
Cargo Storage Solutions
Due to the smaller overall dimensions of the Subaru Crosstrek, there is also less space for cargo, although it doesn't lag too far behind the larger Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. Infotainment
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek offers more generous technology features and the largest available touchscreen. Inside every Crosstrek model, except for the base trim, is a large 11.6-inch touchscreen that is user-friendly and easy to use. The Honda CR-V offers up to a nine-inch touchscreen, while the RAV4 has a 10.5-inch upgrade.
